      u 教材分析
      本部分内容来自鲁教版八年级下册 Unit 3 Where would you like to visit? Section B Reading, 是完整的阅读活动。学生通过学习关于希望和梦想的语篇,学会理解和标注重要信息等阅读策略,并能依据文本,结合自身实际,展开讨论,形成自己的思想。
      u 学情分析
      本节课授课对象为初三学生,他们对希望与梦想有了一定的认识并形成自己的看法与观点。同时初三学生英语语言积累也比较丰富,可以基于文本的阅读,结合自身阅历,用英语思维表达自己。
      u 教学目标
      1. 能够通过阅读,在篇章中理解新词汇:findings, survey, choice, realistic, sail, conclusion, as soon as possible, be willing to, hold on to
      2.能够运用有效的阅读技巧阅读:
        Use skimming to get the main idea;
        Guess the meaning of new words with the help of words they have learned;
        Remember the main idea by underlining the key points;
        Make a mind map to talk about the structure.
      3.能够在阅读文本后,在理解文章的基础上表达自己的观点和看法。具备批判性思维。
      u 教学重、难点
       1.充分运用已知词汇进行猜词;
       2.对hope 和 dream 的意义有深层次的理解,并转化为交流的语言。
      u 教学步骤
      Step1. Lead-in
       1. Greeting.
       2. Free talk:
       Teacher’s hope and dream.
       Students’ hopes and dreams.(以调查问卷的形式发给学生,答案课上交流。)
      【设计意图】通过简单的和本节课话题相关的free-talk激活学生知识背景,并通过与学生的交谈呈现阅读中将出现的生词,不仅活跃气氛,也扫清阅读障碍。学生回答的问题以调查问卷形式呈现也给学生更真实的学习体验。
      Step2. While-reading
      1. Fast-reading
      Read the passage quickly and find out what the survey is about?
      Before reading, ask students about the reading skills.
      【设计意图】培养学生快速阅读和归纳语篇中心的能力。读前阅读技巧的提问可以唤起学生已有的阅读技巧,并在本节课阅读中实践,增强学生自信心。
      2. Careful-reading

      Read and find who took part in the survey.
      【设计意图】巩固学生对in which引导的定语从句的理解。
      Para.2
      Read and underline the answers.
      ①After finishing their education, students hope to:
      ②Many students choose________________  as a job.
      ③What is many teenager’s choice, the jobs they enjoy or they can make more money?
      The point students talk about:
       What is your choice,the jobs you enjoy or you can make more money? Why?
      【设计意图】采用问题的方式帮助学生深入理解段落大意。就贴近学生的问题,让他们表达想法,培养学生英语思维。

      ②What students will do if the dreams are less realistic?
      ③What example is given of an impossible dream?
      The points students talk about:
      To be able to fly is impossible, do you think so? Why?
      Is it more or less realistic to sail across the Pacific? Why?

      【设计意图】采用问题的方式帮助学生深入理解段落大意。就调查中的一些观点,让学生讨论,培养其批判性思维。对于抽象的离学生生活较远的穿越太平洋的梦想,用事例和图片帮助学生感受。

      【设计意图】通过填空形式让学生在寻找答案的过程中更好地回顾和理解整个篇章也为下一环节的整体输出做好准备。
      Step 3 After-reading
      1. Free talk
      ①Talk about the differences between hopes and dreams.
      ②Since dream is not easy to achieve, is it important to have a dream? Why?
      【设计意图】阅读后,通过让学生谈论hopes 和dreams 的不同,让学生体会dreams和hopes相比,更有其独特性,并且在短期内不容易实现。通过有梦想是否重要的提问,引导学生思考自己,形成自己的见解和看法。同时也为下一环节的讨论输出做准备。
      2. Discuss in groups
      Share your dream in groups. Then choose the funniest/ craziest/ most realistic/ creative...... dreams in your group and try to help think about more ways to achieve it. 
      【设计意图】鼓励学生说出自己的梦想。小组讨论,学生可以充分展示梦想。选出最......的梦想,并提供更多方法实现这个梦想的过程中,学生要充分思考比较,既培养了英语思维又提高了学生的交流合作意识。
       在小组展示环节中,学生们可以针对展示的梦想和实现梦想的方法进行补充、点评,培养学生倾听、质疑品质。
      3.Watch a video.
      【设计意图】通过人类历史上成功实现梦想的例子,激励学生要敢于梦想,并为之努力,实现本节课的情感升华。
      Step 4. Homework
      ①Think about your dream seriously(认真的). Write your dream down and how to achieve it.
      ②Choose one of the movies to watch. Feel the power of dreams.

      【设计意图】把作业设计为“必做”和“选做”两个层次,作业一能让学生加深对课文内容的理解,在语境中巩固本节课所学的重点短语。作业二运用网络平台为学有余力的学生拓展视听资源。分层作业的布置,能让不同层次的学生都获得成就感,增加英语学习的自信心。
